Teen Sports – Dangers of Hazing
Wow! I didn’t realize how seriously dangerous hazing could get. Hazing has always been illegal and usually involves drinking games. However, as a recent news article shows, hazing can get downright serious and UGLY!
This should never happen to anyone and parents as well as coaches need to be vigilant in order to curb these types of incidents from taking place.
This NY Daily News article talks about criminal charges, sexual assaults, and what can help decrease the likelihood of these kinds of attacks.
This article also gives parents ideas on how to help their kids put a stop to bullying and hazing. I can’t even believe the types of incidents described in this article. It’s just sick. Seriously, no children should have to go through this.
It’s unlikely to happen in softball, but please do your part to help your kids avoid these situations and help put a stop to it.
