Preventing Shoulder Injuries

In fastpitch softball, shoulder and arm injury prevention is an important issue.  Everyone knows how important proper warm-up is for this area of the body.  Yet, many teams and players are still using static stretching for the arm prior to training or competition.  This is NOT going to be the key in preventing injury.

Dynamic Warm-Up is known to help keep softball players injury free.  There are some very good shoulder/arm exercises that can be done prior to practice or game that will get this area of the body ready to go!  However, they are a bit tough to describe in words, so there is a video resource which can show you just what type of warm-up to use for softball.  If you need information on a good dynamic warm-up for your shoulder (and the rest of your body), click here.

Even if your child’s team doesn’t use this kind of warm-up, that doesn’t mean that you can’t educate yourself and your daughter to incorporate it on your own.  Actually, the Dynamic Warm-Up resource mentioned above can also help you talk with other people about how dynamic warm-up really is the best choice for softball.

One last note on should injury before I go, there is a free shoulder report available for you.  This report reveals the 5 Most Important Shoulder Strengthening Principles. If you want to find out what you MUST know in order to get a sore shoulder feeling better again.   Sign up for the free shoulder report today.
